I am pretty sure that should work because i implemented the custom location handling of the manifest in m2e-android. :) We have a test-case <https://github.com/rgladwell/m2e-android/tree/master/me.gladwell.eclipse.m2e.android.test/projects/issue-68/android-internaldirassets> project to verify this feature in our test suite. Can you try that? Also be sure to use the latest version of m2e-android (1.1.0).
