You won't want to modify the output directory of another task. Create your own folder and put the resources there. By calling the registerResGeneratingTask the Android plugin will automatically use the output of your task as part of its resource processing. And in doing that your task will actually run before the normal process resources task, so that things like R constants are reflected properly.
