I am pretty sure that OpenSolaris is on these companies' collective radar(s). Adobe has a Solaris x86 native Flash Player 10, so at least one of the ones mentioned is paying us a little love. There are others, like Ignite Realtime, who make commercial software (freely available or otherwise) and do target the Solaris / OpenSolaris platforms.
As for stable lifecycle, I guess you're thinking like a 8.04, 8.10, 9.04, 9.10 style release cycle? Personally, I'd prefer the releases were done when they are deemed technically ready and not by a marketing standard.
