So you can see it yourself. Current gaming industry is a result of this
artificial-ownership. It is getting worse, and frustrate even gamers, when
huge gaming companies focus more on making money than improving the game.
Some companies even hold back features just for release of 'expansion
pack' later, to make more money.

Games development works best with free software, where gamers and
developers share the same interest: improving their old-time favorite
game. Play more games and you will understand this.
