Hi Markus, We are currently focused on getting the Google Ads API ready for production, which is why no new features are being added to the AdWords API. You may still use the new features in Google Ads API in addition to AdWords API, but please keep in mind that the Google Ads API is still in beta. Eventually, once the Google Ads API is in production, the AdWords API will be deprecated.
