The Department of Philosophy at Uppsala University hereby declares the
following position open:
Fully funded (salaried) PhD position in Aesthetics
The successful candidate will be employed by the department for 4 years
full-time and will be eligible for Swedish social benefits (incl. 15 months
paid parental leave). The starting salary is currently 24 400 SEK/month
(£2,100/$3,000). Doctoral students are expected to engage in their studies
full-time, and to participate in the activities of the department. The position
might also entail teaching and other assignments, amounting to no more than 20%
of full-time employment. The positions are available from September 1, 2016
(negotiable). The successful candidate is expected to write the doctoral thesis
in English. All seminars and departmental activities are held in English.

competitive and that a Master Degree in the Humanities or Sciences or
equivalent at the time of application is a prerequisite for a successful
