The study of aesthetics is and was the study of what is beauty.
One cannot study beauty without including ugly. So under that
study, aesthetics must always include ugly under it's umbrella.
Each individual must pick and chose where his or her taste lies,
what part under that umbrella of taste brings on an a,e. them.
It is broad enough to include toilet odors to Bach to Rembrandt,
or even your favorite subject ,ice cream.
