On the bright side, assembly is much quicker and simpler than the Force 200.

The sad thing is, all they would've had to do to make them left hand
mountable, is make the L bracket about a quarter inch wider, and you
could've just flipped the radio over.
As far as the U-bolt vs the Force200 style mount goes, I don't care much
either way... they both have pros and cons that makes it pretty much a wash
for me. But going with as large of a u-bolt as they did seems like overkill
for an SM... and it's kind of annoying that you need a different size of
wrench.

Yeah, the LEDs are pretty much useless outside. They really need to make
them brighter and/or use a different color that's actually visible in
daylight.

Having a Force 300-25, 300-16 and 300 CSM also seems more confusing than
the old naming system.

Overall, I like them. Mechanically, some stuff is slightly worse than the
Force 200, and some stuff is slightly better, but nothing I can't deal with.
