Almost all of the radio manufacturers have a circular waveguide version. You
must have circular waveguide if you are doing dual pol.

How does your dragonwave version differ from the commscope standard version?

Look at the antenna. The waveguide is either circular inside like a pipe or
tube or it has a rectangular interior shape.

But, it really doesn’t matter - the whole reason for selling these as
“Dragonwave” antennas is they controlled the flange or mount. I believe that
CommScope and RW were not allowed to sell the mount directly, and you had to go
through DW to get it. The specs on this antenna list it as single polarized,
and you’ll have to look at the feedhorn to see what you have here. If it’s not
circular, you will have to get a dual-polarized feedhorn.

I’m not up to speed on Chuck’s adaptor, but you may have to remove the DW
flange or mount to get this to work properly with it. Hopefully an OMT is
included somewhere in here?

Good point. Has to be circular waveguide on the antenna.

Dragonwave never made antennas - they private labeled either
Commscope ValueLine or RadioWaves antennas. These would require an OMT or
dual-polarized feeds to get both polarizations.

We'll double check the tightness but the techs said they didn't
see an issue when installed.

It is possible the leads are switched at one end, however you are
correct Chuck that UBNT claims that doesn't matter with this radio.

Is anyone sure the Dragonwave dishes actually work with two
polarities at once? I believe the literature says single pol. I know they are
dual pol in that you can connect a Dragonwave either horizontally or vertically
on the back of the dish but can you use two polarities at once?

was 1 or 2 db off the PCN. What could be the problem?
