Have a connection to the office at a grain elevator. Call from the IT
Guy a couple days ago (at 4:30pm) "OMG Everything is brokenz" The SM had
been running fine up until 10am, but can no longer see the site that
it's supposed to talk to, will only see a site 90 degrees off through a
grain bin. Had him go look at the radio outside, claimed it was still
pointing in the right direction. Sunny day with no Wind.
The Next morning, it can see it's primary site again, but 10db less than
it was before. Went and visited the site, but it was raining. Radio
looked fine from the ground it was just 10db lower than before. They
claimed nothing has changed at the site, they didn't park anything in
front of it, etc.
Got over on the roof on a dry day. The SM was about 8 degrees off of
the path. They finally fessed up. Their guys had gone on the roof, and
thought that the EPMP Radio was their TV Antenna, and were trying to get
a better TV Picture. That's why it dropped out, The next day they went
back up and moved it closer to where it was before. But it took me
pointedly asking the question 'why did it move on a sunny day' for them
to fess up to them messing with it.
I really want to charge them a 'stupid/lying tax' but that seems like
it would sour the relationship.
