Calix is affordable, Calix is expensive. Both true.

Calix has a lot of options so there's a wide range of possible pricing. If you
got a quote for the whole salad bar then it's not going to look good.

Really? That is upsetting. Calix's up-front cost for their full cloud based
solution isn't super cheap.

Calix is MUCH cheaper to get into than Plume, with lower minimums. They
(Calix) were also running a WISP special earlier this year, I'm unsure if it is
still going on, but the upfront pricing was much more attractive.

We use Plume and its pretty good. If the decision were entirely in my
court I'd have gone with Calix. Long term it aligns better with where I think
the company should be going - all fiber all the time, but if all you are
looking for is simple wifi that works then Plume is pretty good.

We are looking into a managed WiFi solution for some of our more
demanding clients that either have big homes, or just want the best. We
currently use Mikrotik HAP AC Lite which don't have great coverage, but great
features for us in terms of management.

So for those that need more coverage etc, we thought we could offer
something for a monthly fee like Plume or Calix

Has anyone used them before? Thoughts and comments?
