My sister is one of those "The election was stolen" types. I didn't vote
for Biden/Harris but I am not a trump nut either. I asked her what she
based her opinion on, and I heard a lot of very passionate and general
things that were not facts, based on facts, nor factual in the common
meaning of the term. She later texted me about not getting my news from the
mainstream media and that I should be watching Fox. OK, got it. Why don't I
watch Fox, MSNBC, CNN, PBS, and News Nation and figure some shit out for
myself.
It is sad what is portrayed as news these days and that some, like my
sister, can't tell the difference between an opinion hour long rant and
actual news.
It was obvious reason wasn't going to work since the talking heads already
ordained the only proper line of thought. This whole thing might be just
what the Republican party needs to swing back from the far right fringe and
become more centric. It seems hilarious when you think of it. Republicans
have been the ones defending the EC for the last couple of decades and the
Dems have been pushing ever harder to delegitimize it. Now Dems are
defending it and Repubs are railing against it. WTH is going on? Oh wait, I
know, neither party gives a shit about anything but maintaining power and
political expediency. What a farce.
And Steve, to blame any kind of violence on some SCOUTS ruling or lack
thereof, or even some idiot president exposing some ridiculous position is
absolving individuals of their rights and responsibilities as individuals
and freedom. Surely you aren't saying we are all just minions that must
follow the leader. if violence happens, I am sure it will be met with the
same kind of justice dispensed to looters and rioters of any lawless
movement.
