Good news, you have 4 years to replace them. In good weather, maybe while youre doing other work at the site. And a few new Syncboxes wont break the bank.
If youre like me, make sure write down what you had to do at each site while its fresh in your mind. Make a to-do list. Prioritize the sites that required truck rolls. 4 years seems like forever, but thats what we said in 2020. A little sprinkle of anything and everything across the network. Consistency is something that we consistently do not have. That would make things too easy. lol. We found one site where the syncbox was apparently not powered through any device which is remotely rebootable. I'm guessing that some enterprising employee plugged it into something not attached to the UPS. We had a second site where the the remote management is simply inaccessible. Frustratingly, the management device wasn't being monitored so we had no idea it wasn't responding. All of the modern syncboxes (post mid-2020) and the earlier GPS-only units continued to operate. Plus, any connected to a rackinjector or base 3 managed injector didn't have any issues at all.
