I hate the way they nickel and dime us with all this paperwork, also the
surveillance state that makes me worry all this information will be used
against us at some point.

But first I would check if your company ever responded in the past, if so you
may not need to do anything.

If not, I’d just go ahead and do it. It seems to be about a 5 minute task and
it’s one-and-done, you can ignore the notices in the future unless something
you already have in your network goes on the “covered” list. I don’t see how
we’d acquire something new on the covered list since it can’t get FCC approval
and can’t be imported.

the baicells makes sense since its huawi... er i mean a totally not related
company that just happens to be headed by huawi execs.

Im guessing we can ignore this for now

I remember when the FBI showed up at our door in 2021 or 2022 asking about the
equipment we use. They were even interested if we were using Baicell (which we
were not).

I had to log in to their site to check what we’ve done in the past, since it
seems you don’t upload a filing that we’d have a copy of. It’s more of an
online form you submit.

In our case, it looks like we filed in February 2022 for the year ending
December 2021 and stated we had no “covered equipment”.

If I read the instructions correctly, once you’ve done that, you don’t need to
file annually unless you actually acquire some “covered equipment”.

If you’ve got a bunch of Huawei and ZTE equipment (or a few others), things are
different.

What is this? I dont recall dealing with this, but we keep getting notices. I
dont see that we purchased any of this, nor do I care to tell uncle government
