Prominent cameras, real or fake (we put big ones up around our building, have had 2 vandalisms in a year compared to weekly prior) DVR surveillance systems are dirt cheap (as with anything you get what you par for) but you can get cheap 16 channel with 8 cameras on newegg for under 500 bucks, if you want action, get one with relay outputs, have motion trigger whatever you want, from flood lights to claymore detonation.
