I resent the assertion that my customers are stupider than a cave man.
I know, sounds like someone woke up on the wrong side of the rock.

Subject: Re: [AFMUG] Canopy POE end of life :-/

Is Cambium moving to an 802.3af future? At some point I'd love to see that.
Thought I read the 450i or d was doing that. At least then we could source our
own parts if we wanted to. I can't recall exactly, but I'm pretty sure a
camera I installed in the last year or two had a very similar design to its
POE, can't remember the brand though.

I'd like to see both form factors available for POE's though. The old style
for residential stuff and the new one for any kind of enterprise stuff where we
need to mount things away from the switch or router. The old style never
really fit in rack or wall mount systems and was tough to keep tidy (relatively
speaking). And sometimes, trying to fit the wall wart onto a full surge bar
was a PITA.

However, the comment "so easy a caveman could do it" is so absolutely true -
you really had to go out of your way to plug it in wrong.

  Dear Cambium,

Why won't you let us buy the ACPSSW-13B POE if we still want to?

It's very frustrating that we now have to change our install procedures AND
our tech support procedures. The new POE is also very cumbersome and prone to
clients plugging things in backwards etc.

Can you either keep selling them or give us access to the manufacturer so
that we can still buy them?
