[AFMUG] ePMP GPS on passive PoE?

The ePMP GPS unit has gigE and is 802.3af compliant, and yada 
yada.....but can I just supply 48v on the correct pins and expect it to 
turn on?  Even if it only works at 100baseT I would be ok with that.
