Fair Warn!
Leaving the cable could be a mistake. We have found that older decomp
cable on a tower will cause serious issues
with lightning and good grounding.
I would only leave it if the cable has good ground kits top and bottom
of the tower and a 50ohm load terminator at the end inside the
building/cabinet.
Proper cat5e vertical runs are acomplished via the andrew clip/hanger
kits and the universal grommet or 7x3/8 hole grommets every 3ft
We have also done the whole HDPFE single tube run up to 200' with
cable hangers which a 2" pipe will hold about 8 superior essex cables
without much fuss.

Absolutely. Leave the lmr up there, unless there's a reason to take

What size is the FM transmission line? If it's small
enough, I'd just leave it.

I have a 100' tower that at the moment has about 25
cables coming down and all are secured with zip ties.
We have an FM transmitter that is coming down in the
next couple of weeks and I will have to remove most of
the zip ties to get to the Coax that is buried amongst
our cables.
What do you all use to secure cable down a leg of
tower, now that I will basically get to start fresh?
