If it were possible to move the vote online, which its not, and it never
will be, we would easily be able to move away from a party system,
eliminate delegations and electoral college and go fully to popular vote.
But we can't even get voting machines fraud free and have a government whom
the vast majority think its funny they can't operate a cellphone
effectively and don't understand email, an online systems vote outcome
would be dictated by which 12 year old hacked in last between games of call
of duty.
