We're most likely going to get the 22kw. I believe Generac has these
newer units set up so that all you need is to select the correct
regulator for the desired fuel type. So it'd be ideal if we could just
plumb two regulators and some valves. Guess we'll talk to the dealer and
see if we can make it work.

an air mixer.
Lots of mission critical NG installations have a large LP tank too
with this air mixer device. The NG companies call them a carburetor.
I think it just mixes a fixed amount of air with the LP and sends it
down the line at the right pressure.

We're going to be putting in one of the Generac 1800RPM quiet models at
our office (so the neighbors won't bitch too much about the noise of a
3600). So here's one of the potential problems we're worried about,
because it happened. They shut off the natural gas after the tornado
last year because houses were blown away and gas was leaking everywhere.
If that were to happen again, then our shiny expensive new generator
will be sitting there doing nothing. So we're thinking about doing a LP
tank as backup, but would like to have the primary be NG. Has anyone
done this? Two regulators and valves perhaps? I don't have a problem
manually turning some valves, but I don't wanna be out there at
o'dark:30 in the rain doing plumbing.
