I was thinking of using this as the monitor.

Can do cabinet temp and other things as well.

I keep being tempted by AIMS power.

What stops me is there's no provision for remote monitoring. The "remote port"
is for a control panel at max 10m from the unit.

If it had status relays that would be something. Even nicer would be a network
module with Web/SNMP access like an APC. I suppose if you add something to
monitor battery voltage and the AC power status then you could make do.

We have been using 48v APC UPS’s in our cabinets, removing the internal
batteries and adding 4 large Deeps Cycles batteries.

Seems to be a waste of cabinet space to continue doing this.

Has anyone used Inverter Charges to replace a UPS?

I assume we should only look at Pure Sine Wave? Most of these seem to be at 12
volts.

Like to hear what has worked for others.

Thanks

Adam
