I like to do that too, but only with companies I know well and expect a change
based on something they are doing.

I was never suggesting Fitbit as a long term stock... it was a 3 month play,
that actually happened in one month... 15% return in 30 days is pretty good. I
would never invest long term (over a year) in a single stock... all of my long
term investments are in mutual funds, etc from places like Vanguard and
Oppenheimer and T Rowe Price. They are seeing 6-10% annual returns depending on
which fund (I currently have eight).

These single stock picks (like GoPro and Fitbit) are just play money... put a
little in, and hope for 10-15% returns in a few months. :)

The whole investment thing is made up of risk so what’s a bit more? ;)

I’m personally not a big fan of Fitbit stock – massive declines at each of
its first quarterly reports .. down 70% on 52 week high ….

Their sales model is very weak and filled with a lot of competition so don’t
see this stock going back a significant amount long term ..

Just one person’s opinion and with investments you’ll find a LOT of opinions…
some right, some wrong …

If Travis is sure about his picks, then he stands to earn 20% of the take
with no skin in the game. Of course there is that minor tiny downside risk ....

It would probably make it slightly difficult to get many investors after the
first few...

but is it really a ponzi scheme if everyone invested knows what it is?

How about you manage some money for me. I give you 20% of the

Well.... did anyone take my advice and buy Fitbit stock a month ago?
You
could have made 8% just today... that's 96% APR. :)
