Depends on your distance and rain zone, in ITU rain zone D (Seattle) we
have constant winter rain but rarely a heavy downpour. An AF24 link at 2.5
or 3 km will exceed five nines availability if aimed right.

If you're in Houston or Miami, you're screwed....
