The last pair of dress shoes I purchased cost me $80 and I almost didn't
do it... LOL
It's all about "value" for me.... spending over $3,000/year to have
Intuit host my QB files is just dumb. I can buy their 3-user package for
$400 and run that for 2-3 years before having to upgrade... saving me
over $5,000 in two years. :)

It's actually very affordable, if you only have a single QB
company. You have to pay the same price for each company... so
if you have more than one or two companies, it's MUCH cheaper
to run your own version on a dedicated server.
I'd love to move everything to their cloud service... but I
have over 10 companies that use QB... $30/month x 10 = TOO
EXPENSIVE.

Yes we moved quickbooks to the intuit cloud. My business
partner and our accountant seem very happy with the
transition. I'm happy with it because I don't have to deal
with supporting it anymore lol.

I presume you mean you moved QB to the Intuit cloud.
How much does that cost?
They take care of backups etc I would assume?
How difficult was it to make the transition?
I presume your accountant can get right in without having
to create and transfer accountant copies of the DB?

we moved ours to their cloud and haven't looked back.
much less clunky than running it on a local server etc.
YMMV

This is a bright group so I wanted to see if this is
something worth doing or maybe worth avoiding. I
really don't want to get Windows server 2012 and try

since I only need one or two people to remote in just
to get some headless PC's and sit them in a corner
somewhere.
Probably a bad idea but any thoughts?
