I did extensive testing with the AirGateway Installer Pro...and found that it only outputs the voltage that you put into it. There is no upconverter. ie. if you put in 5v you get out 5v on POE (which will power nothing). If you put in 18v you get out 18v...which will not power AC gear. If you use a 20v drill battery it will power AC gear...but only on a full charge, as they drop to 18v pretty quickly and then the AC radios just reboot and reboot and reboot. We use the AG Installer Pros in our modified DeWalt flashlights, but I had no luck using any type of battery pack.
