Doing it this way, someone can simply unsubscribe from the spam but not the list. And Mail Chimp will never ever ever ever let me send that person anything again for all of eternity. They rate the quality of lists for how many bounces, unsubscribes etc. I have a pretty good rating with them.

The alternative is going back to the Friday spam and swap fest.

BTW, my distributors have spam rights too. But only on Friday morning.

I prefer the list to be free from spam like it is now compared to before.

I merge my AnimalFarm email list with my MailChimp list about once a year.

You do realize that this list is my list, right?

So essentially every time I make a posting here I am spamming you, right?

I used to do it every Friday right here on this list.
But I think it is cleaner and better quality to use MailChimp.

Did you unsubscribe from the Mail Chimp? That will prevent it from ever happening again.

I just got spammed by Chuck McCown. What's up with that?

I sure as hell haven't signed up for any of his email lists nor done any business with him, or even indicate I would like to. I find it in extremely poor taste to mine the Af list for spam targets.
