Yes, if you are a Google Drive user you will get nagged to change.

You have two options:

Backup and Sync
    - or -
Google Drive File Stream

You do NOT want the latter. It forces your Google Drive on to C: and hides it
and will not allow you to move it to other drives.

I did not realize there were two totally different products they were trying to
get everyone to migrate to. The nag screen just says the legacy Google Drive
will stop working sometime this year.

So, I uninstalled File Stream, had to search the C drive for files modified
today, found where it hid the files and am now deleting about 130 GB of files.

At least my old Google Drive contents on D: are still there and I re-downloaded
Backup and Sync and it is now bringing that up to sync rather than a full
transfer.

Everything I have I sync. All copies on all devices (including Google) are the
same.

Well, for Google Drive. Maybe they have something new now. Product ADD.

I made the mistake of switching from backup and sync to google file stream. It
wants to put local content on the C drive only.

If you have not made the switch, I would recommend against it. I am trying to
undo this.
