It doesn't have to be the latest\greatest. I've traditionally just bought
whatever I could get my hands on that was cheap. However, this time around I
may put a bit more consideration into efficiency.

I'm seeing some results for the Cisco UCS C240 M4 being NEBS-3 compliant in its
DC version , which is about a 3 year old model now. If you don't need the very
latest CPUs and system capability, might be able to find them from a
used/refurb dealer.

Sure, but probably less cost than getting colo where you don't need it just to
avoid NEBS. :-p

Prepare to pay $$, they're really uncommon in terms of how many are
manufactured each year, vs ordinary 1RU/2RU or blade chassis servers.

As a tangent, I'm looking for a source for NEBS-compliant servers.

I need a pair of servers, prefer DC powered but not absolutely stuck on that.
Like to have nice blade server system with hot standby etc. Been some time
since I spec’d out servers.

Any suggestions?
