Dear African Wikimedians,

We’re beginning the planning for WikiWomenCamp 2027, and we want to start
by listening to the people and communities who will shape the Camp.

We’re sharing a short survey to hear how you would like to see
WikiWomenCamp 2027 take shape from the themes and conversations you would
like to see, to the format, location, accessibility, participation, and the
kinds of connections and experiences that would make the Camp meaningful
for you.

Every voice matters. We especially want to hear from people across
different regions, languages, communities, and Wikimedia experiences.
Please share the survey with women and queer allies in your networks,
including people and communities whose perspectives may not always be
represented in global movement conversations. You do not need to have
attended a previous WikiWomenCamp to contribute.

A note on who the Camp is for: WikiWomenCamp 2027 is intended to be a space
for women and lesbian, bisexual, and trans allies across the Wikimedia
movement. We want to hear from women and queer allies with different
experiences and perspectives, and we hope the Camp can create space for
meaningful conversations, connections, and learning across the movement.

We are still at an early stage of planning, so there is no fixed programme
or format yet. Your responses will help us think about what this Camp
should be, what it should make space for, and how it can better serve the
diversity of our movement.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by 31 October 2026:

Please also feel free to share it widely with relevant Wikimedia
communities and networks.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you and building WikiWomenCamp 2027
together.

Warmly,
