Reading Kant can give you an idea of souls and concepts. If anything has and will effect human behavior throughout history it has been the concept of soul. I'm not for or against transferring or uploading individual souls one way or another but an AGI concept modeling system can be tested by the way it handles the somewhat ubiquitous concept of soul as well as other related concepts. Unless perhaps you are wishing to purge these ideas contemporaneously with AGI development and have some sort of animus towards them... but, I propose they would autonomously resurface in the future and it will be questioned why they were omitted.
On declaring the soul concept as irrelevant to AGI you could also say that modeling the English language is irrelevant to AGI.
