AI doesn't take jobs. It automates work, which is not the same thing.
It makes your work easier while making you more productive with higher
pay. Technology makes stuff cheaper, so you have more to spend on
other stuff. That spending creates jobs. The reality is that the
economy is booming and the unemployment rate has remained steady at
4%.

People thought that FORTRAN would eliminate programming jobs because
it automated turning mathematical expressions into code. People
thought that AI would eliminate programming jobs because it automated
turning English into code. Neither happened. Instead of fewer jobs, we
got jobs done faster.

But people don't understand economics and politicians will tell people
what they want to hear. That is why we had communism.
