Actually Matt that depends on how many short-cuts the sentence-producer is
taking,
if the sentence has a regular or standard syntax then it can be parsed
before the meaning is clear.

Even in English, syntax is important, and there are standard ways of saying
things.  If the syntax is arranged differently you may have difficulty
parsing it, for instance if I use post-positions instead of
pre-positions.   this sentence example an is syntax-grammar of different.
