Saying you don't have enough time to debate the issue is legitimate BUT then you don't have the right to put that unsupported opinion in writing. This is even more true just after I have invested a significant amount of my time showing that that opinion is wrong.
All opinions are not equal and if you are unwilling or unable to defend your position or refute mine, then you don't have the right to state yours as if it were fact. This is supposed to be a list where intelligent people discuss issues that have to do with AGI and others have been smacked down for making statements they either couldn't or wouldn't defend. Why should you be different? David From: Jim Bromer [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: January-14-13 8:04 AM To: AGI Subject: Re: [agi] The Vast Field of Cultural Icons I read some of your messages and I (surely) did write my first point. After spouting off on how I have achieved my predicted goals on my AGi project (even after two weeks of gruelling hour-days work), I really cannot afford to spend much time on other subjects like this one. (I'm not sure, but I think there is a chance that my AGi project might get a little more difficult somewhere down the road.) I have a different opinion on this than you do.
