I must have been thrown into a parallel dimension where AGI/transhumanist people actually do things. -- I kinda like it here actually... I hope there are no hard feelings from anyone who matters regarding my earlier post. Sometimes the most constructive thing you can do is to be harsh (Bad ideas must crumble so that the good ones can prosper). I had been polite about the thread for a few days but it became increasingly clear that it wasn't going to go anywhere and it was getting tiresome. =\ A week or too ago I posted a business idea to the currently broken transhumanist talk list. Basically the angle I came up with was to work on the VR angle to build up a testing environment for AGI. the business plan would be to boostrap off of a middleware package for modern HTML5 web browsers, then move up into full immersion, AGI agents, and then neural interface based VR... I'm in FEMA region 3 in the former United States of America. I would very much like to get involved in any project along these general lines. -- IQ is a measure of how stupid you feel.
