This is the acid test for any useful general AI. If it can't learn
to deal with extracting knowledge from a high-bandwidth, noisy
feed then it's not much of a general AI.

Hi Eugen,  This opinion is *biased* by placing too much emphasis on sensory
/ vision.  I tried to build such a vision-centric AGI a couple of years
back, and found that it has severe deficiencies when it comes to *symbolic*
and logical aspects of cognition.  If you spend some time thinking about the
latter domains, you'd likely change your mind.  But the current status of
neuroscience is such that vision is the most understood aspect of the brain,
so the vision-centric view of AGI is prevalent among people with a strong
neuroscience background.
