Thanks. I had wanted to read some of your writing. I will put Beyond
AI on my long to buy list.

I like the different definitions of AIs although I don't think they
capture all types of intelligence systems. What I am interested in is
making systems that somewhat mesh with humans to the extent they are
considered part of the same system. External artificial brain tissue,
if you will. Specialised towards different tasks and not necessarily
hooked up with electrodes, but through the senses. It will only have
low bandwidth connections with the organic brain, which may or may not
limit to how much the organic and silicon system can be considered one
singular entity.

So neither as tools as some people envisage, nor sentient entities in
their own right, but part of ourselves. Perhaps symbiohuman systems
might be a good term for what I would like to create.
