To me, the message of this rant is that the Semantic Web would only be truly
useful in the context of contextual, analogical + inductive +
abductive inference
... rather than purely deductive inference

I agree w/ this

The bigger problem, I think, is that it would take an AGI capable of those sorts
of inferences to actually build a generic Semantic Web in an automated way...

So unless people are willing to mark up their Web pages with loads of semantic
info, it seems the building of the Semantic Web is an AGI-hard problem, rather
than something likely to help with AGI...
