Why a virtual world preschool and not a real one?

A virtual world, if not programmed accurately, may be subtly
differernet from the real world, so that for example an AGI is capable
of picking up and using a screwdriver in the virtual world but not
real real world, because the real world is more complex.

If you want your AGI to be able to use a screwdriver, you probably
need to train it in the real world (at least some of the time).

If you don't care whether your AGI can use a screwdriver, why have one
in the virtual world?
