What's the point/purpose/goal of using points on land, as opposed to
saving them for either zombies that grant a game advantage, or towards
the points win condition?  (I haven't really studied all the land proposals 
that aren't in the ruleset yet, so if there's a purpose to make stuff I may 
have missed it - for me, once steel replaced coins I kinda stopped 
because I didn't have a reason to bother with any particular portfolio).
