It might be better to just add a new sentence with a separate
definition? The synonym doesn't necessarily make sense when we have
classes of assets where only some groups are fungible with each other.

This type of construction is used elsewhere in the rules, e.g. R2450
(Pledges):

      If a consenting Player makes a clear public pledge (syn. Oath)

and in all cases there seems to be a single obvious choice for which
part of the sentence the synonym is intended to target. Though this
may be colored by my familiarity with how "currency" used to be defined.
