I don't think that example parallels this one exactly? "Oath" as a synonym for "pledge" works fine. What I'm questioning about the proposed language is that the rule is effectively defining what "fungible" as an adjective means (and we do just use the adjective elsewhere), but the synonym is given for "fungible asset".
