Hi Onge, the ESR range will simply extend. the sounds will be the same,
but you'll be able to identify enemies and such at a greater distance. You
should be able to tell if this is working or not by sighting someone with
the Sniper Rifle and then switching away from it to see if you can still
see them. You'll need to do this on a map where you know the general
length of the distances.
as far as not hitting someone, if you're hearing the audio crosshair
then you should be exactly targeted on your subject and if this is the
case, I'm not sure why the Sniper Rifle wouldn't be hitting them
properly. I've never missed when they've been targeted this way. It will
sometimes take more than one shot depending on the level of health that
your target has.

It works for me most of the time, but sometimes if I'm up close and it does
the two-tone beep from f to a, or whatever it is which means I'm dead ahead
of the person and snipe them or attempt too, it doesn't work.
