Hi again Shaun et al;
Actually, the jet pack is in this mod too, and is the inspiration for the
one in my mod as well. This one acts a bit differently than mine, but it
is there.
Here is a list of impulses for Overkill 1.0
I'll have this up on my tbrn ftp site soon, am having some issues with it
not letting me upload for the moment. ick!
<smile>
Anyway, for now, here are the impulses for Overkill!...
Smiles,
Cara

NOTE: Impulses 1 through 8 have more than one function. They depend on
whether you've typed either impulse 41 or impulse 42 into the console to
switch between modes. Therefore, the next two sections below will show
this with titles Impulse 41 and Impulse 42, and will then list impulses 1
through 8 under each title.

cool.
I like the hunter rockets, the lasers, the faster guns, and the grenade
blast zone thingy.
What I'd like is something like the jetpack in this mod to.
I use it to fly over laver and then drop detpacks on monsters below, grate
fun.
That rocket hunter is like a sniper and its quite cool
I can hit monsters that do not know I exist yet.

Hi Shaun et al'
As I'd mentioned in my earlier note, Overkill is the title Matthew
initially gave the set of mods on Derek London's server, Le Toilet
Bowl. As for them being new, actually, Edit, (Derek) was I believe, the
first mod author for Audio Quake, aside from the Audio Quake mod
itself. <smile> So they're definitely not new, and were part of the
inspiration for my own mods.
Regarding there not being as many mods as compared with JQ, I'm not
sure that's true. First off, there is an entire second set of weapons
from the eight that you start with, and also several impulses that do
all sorts of crazy mayhem, in addition to the ability to add monsters to
your deathmatches.
So you can see, this is quite a developed mod. <smile>
Anyway, I hope this answers your questions, and as I said, Derek and I
will be adding docs and bindings and such.
Have a great evening and chat with you soon!...

Cara

whats overkill for those of us who just do not know?
Obviusly this is a new mod, its v1.0 after all.

Hi all, a few days ago, someone asked where
they might find the mods on Edit's server, Le Toilet Bowl. For now,
you can find them here:
http://tbrn.net/modgirl
The file is called Overkill1.qmod
Thanks to Derek for making his code available and to Matthew for the
title and for a previous, unreleased qmod version of this mod, which
made this release possible. <smile>
I send Matthew, again, my wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.
The documentation / key bindings / aliases and such for this release
of Overkill will be something that Derek and I will be adding as we
go. For now though, hopefully this will be workable and enjoyable for
all of you!...
Smiles,
Cara
