That's not true. Use your auditory clues and if you have to, use numbers. I think we ought to get rid of the snap system and use beeps to notify us that we've reached a specific direction, and snapping hot keys to take us to the nearest direction. If we're going to play with the sighties one day, we have to have that minute adjustment factor going on. We also need to be able to look up and down easily, and an auditory cross hair like in Lone wolf or GTC which lets you know how close you are to target--not in words, but in beeps.

One thing that you might consider is that continuous turning gives you very little feedback as to how far you've turned. Trust me, if you try that on a
server where I'm playing, I'd totally smoke you. lol

Well, as is, I totally smoke everyone, so...

Just a little friendly trash talk :).

Matthew:
Is there a way I can incorporate continuous turning into the game? I want
to be able to hold down a right or left arrow key and continue turning,
rather than have to do it a click at a time; can this be done? if so, how?
Thanks.

I have entered in joystick commands into the config file and they do
not work. Mouse works great but if you use it to turn you get out of
alignment and don't get north, south and so on--just numbers. Great
for aiming though.

I have put on TODO (probably for someone in the future to do, not me)
to add mouse-snapping, or something similar, so that this does'nt happen.

Great idea; thanks!
