Hey Tony, thankie for the note! Well, as a matter of fact, according to pop Star Wars lore, so to speak, the light Saber does indeed have a 'magic new-age crystal' at its heart. lol!
I'll need to read up a bit, but I believe the crystal either acts as a power source, a focus, or an amplifier. -NOt sure which, as honestly, I'm really not a Star Wars geek! <smile> I mean, I really dig the films, and really really really thought it would be fun to have that sort of thing in Quake, but anything after that tends to just creep me out a bit! lol! So I'm betting there are a whole lot more peeps here that are probably way better authorities on Star Wars tech than I! <smile> anyway, am just finally catching up on email after a week's hiatus, (over a thousand that I came back to) so am glad to see that Matthew posted instructs for compiling AQ on the Mac. Yay Matthew! Thanks! :) Will try this out at my first opportunity. I say this, as I've been wondering about the non-behaving download issue with server / client relations. lol! I've been wanting to see about improving this as it has really put a damper on the community as it were, in my opinion. So, no, unfortunately, I haven't been fraggin' nearly enough, and I'd just love to see the Audio Quake on- line community of the last couple of years re-emerge anew, with a good variety of stable servers up for people to play on. -Know what I mean?… Anyway, thanks muchly for the note, and as a quick aside to Matthew, have you got me listed with the AQ hackers project?… I think you do, but if you need any info just shout my way, and it's yours!… :) Have a lovely evening, All, and talk witchay'all soon!… Smiles, Cara :) On Dec 2, 2008, at 8:29 AM, tony seth wrote: > Hey there: I've got way too much time on my hands, and here's the > proof...
