If you're using the last version of the program engine, it's pretty simple to connect to your own server... but you have to find it, it took me some time to fix, too. I suppose that, if your friends try to connect, they will succeed. The only one that cannot connect is you. Well, type just connect in the console and you'll see why. In fact, the connect command, since the using MAUTH version is active, needs 2 parameters in order to work, in stead of one. I don't know why it is still so even with the -nomauth option specified, but the problem also does appear for maps downloading and such, so... Well just type this to connect to your local server:
connect localhost localhost
Where the first localhost is the required by the command master server...
Normally, it will work without any problems.
