Hello all,
I am a newcomer to this list and very much a novice at geostatistics.
Regarding Recep's question about replicating results, Abedini's response was very good and complete. But in thinking about what one is trying to do with replication--verifying your results--it occurred to me that there might be another way. Why not split the data into two sets and run the analysis on one set and compare the results to the actual values?
Thank you for this list. I have not been able to find anyone locally that I can go to for guidance. I have taken several (short) courses on geostatistics (and I am hoping to take Isobel's) but there is nothing like actually having someone very knowledgeable to go to for feedback on one's work. So this list will have to do for now.
I am also wondering if anyone on this list uses ESRI's Geostatistical Analyst?
Thanks!
Nancy
