Prof Mikhail Kanevski and myself are organising there a session - “Machine learning in Geoscience applications”. The session aims to bring novel computer science and statistical learning techniques into geoscience applications. We invite multi-disciplinary contributions that demonstrate recent advances in applying learning based algorithms to geoscience problems, including reservoir characterisation, environmental and climate modelling, pollution and natural hazard predictions, renewable resources estimations, and other applications. The abstract submission is scheduled between 1 January - 1 February, 2013. You or your colleagues are welcome to submit abstracts and we would greatly appreciate sending the word around may be through the AI-Geostats community.
