Do you want to upgrade your training programs and enhance the skills of your trainers? Join us for the ‘Introduction to Teaching Computers for Visually Impaired’ training the trainer (TOT) program. Learn about the training techniques that have helped place persons with vision impairment in 183 jobs, in over 27 sectors, including banking and financial services, retail, and information technology! Introduction to the Workshop One of the trainer said “Through this course, I learnt that only technology was not enough. I understood how important it was to work on the overall development of the candidate.” “I thought being a trainer meant that I just go to class and teach, but the course has helped me realize the importance of my self-development as a trainer” The TOT program aims at building the capacity of the trainers of various institutions/NGOs/Schools to conduct the Computer, Employability courses effectively. The workshop will also give the trainers exposure on exploring and understanding the learners, teaching methodologies, evaluation techniques, self-learning tool, self-development tool, creating training environment, training process, and assistive aids. After the workshop, the trainers will be able to: • Prepare and use teaching aids to deliver effective computer training to persons with vision impairment • Apply Enable India’s unique training methodology, and training environment to make visually impaired candidates employable and ready for jobs. Around 300 persons with vision impairment have completed this course, and over 30% of the trainees are working in various parts of rural India as trainers of persons with vision impairment.
