Aide from CVS repository

Is AIDE from the CVS repository the latest version?  I downloaded it from
the repository and it failed at configure(could not find libgcrypt).
However, the tar version of AIDE(aide-0.7) uses crypt and it succeeds at
building the Makefile.  Is the CVS version the latest and most stable copy?
